Here in Gorey School of English, we are celebrating our 5th anniversary. Yes, we have been in business for exactly 5 years.

I remember our adult children helping us paint and decorate our first classroom and also putting together tables and chairs and how excited we all were. It seems like a long time ago but in reality, it's not. We decided to open our school in Gorey as it's our home town and it has a great community spirit. We knew students would be made feel very welcome here and also we are not too far from Dublin airport.

We began with a small group of 6 adult students who were living here in Gorey at the time and wanted to improve their English by preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate exam. Five years later and our school has grown. We have built a very good reputation with both secondary schools and language schools in Spain, France and Italy for the quality of our English classes. We have had lots of success in preparing our students for their exams. As well as that our host families look after our students so well that many students come back to the same family year after year.

From the very beginning, all of our students and schools have come to us through word of mouth. The students that have been coming to us throughout the last 5 years are from all over Europe.

We are getting through this pandemic because of our very loyal students who are still attending our classes online from their own homes in different parts of the world. We are really looking forward to the time, -hopefully very soon,- when everyone can travel again and we can continue to grow our school and make a lot more friends along the way.

We are a family run business and we care for our students as if they were part of our family too.
